I am currently working as a pre-sales consultant in the area of Storage Area Networks and Server Virtualization. I do assessments of customer environments and then design solutions based on the outcome of the assessment. I spend a great deal of time gathering information and doing interviews with the stakeholders to determine exactly what the customer does, how he does it, why he does it, and most importantly, what challenges is he having. I often ask the CIO or IT Director if they wake up at 3 AM what is the first thing they think of. If the answer is IT related I tell them we definitely need to work something out to ease their mind!I work with customers to develop solutions to problems, not sell cookie cutter hardware and software SKUs. Through our work in the Mid-Atlantic Region we have sold over 15,000 seats VMware View to the WV schools and that garnered us the VMware Solutions Provider of the year for 2012. We had the 7-12 WV TFS contract for the last 17 years and 3 years ago we displaced IBM to take over the K-6 TFS contract as well due to our implementation of data centers on over half of the counties in WV.
