Mike was invited to join Aon’s Affinity Insurance Services in 2002 and was the top sales professional at Aon Affinity throughout his tenure. Mike was responsible for introducing Aon to the sponsored association life & health marketplace and enhancing their recognition and reputation throughout the association and voluntary benefits industry. His success led to the creation of Aon's Affinity Life & Health division to support the sales that Mike generated.

Mike served two terms on the PIMA Board of Directors. In addition, he was Chair of the Education/Action Group for six years and served six times as PIMA Meeting Tri-Chair. Mike's role as Chair of the Education/Action Group was to plan the educational content and secure speakers for 18 Summer, Annual and Market-Tech conferences and conventions. Mike was awarded PIMA President's Distinguished Service Award twice for his overall service and dedication to PIMA.The Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) is the nation's premier association for third-party broker/administrators, agencies, insurance carriers, and other businesses involved in the direct marketing of group insurance products. Founded in 1975, PIMA provides educational conferences, legislative updates, business development opportunities and publications to serve its members' unique needs.

Mike began his career with Marsh & McLennan in their association division, named Seabury & Smith at the time, now Mercer Consumer. He was placed in an accelerated sales leadership development program and served as a sales associate to a senior level association sales professional for three years. Mike was then promoted to a full sales professional position responsible for selling member insurance programs to associations and affinity groups within the United States. Mike was a consistent leading sales professional for Marsh & McLennan and was Salesperson of the Year many times for MMC's association division.
