For the past 28 years I've succeeded as a profitable volume builder, turning around companies that are underperforming throughout the Southeast states. Throughout my career I've purchased and developed over 15,000 home lots and built over 10,000 homes.In 1997, Centex sold 300 homes a year and earned less than a million in profits. Ten years later, under my leadership, we sold 1,010 homes and earned $36 million. In 2009, following a steep recession in the home building industry, M/I Homes in Charlotte sold 200 homes and lost $5 million. Four years later, we sold 392 homes and earned $6.8 million in profit. It was gratifying to lead our team to a $12 million financial improvement in under five years.I’m proud of Stone Creek Ranch, a community of 1,000 homes. Stone Creek was a $58 million acquisition and development deal I made for Centex Homes. In the first two years of its existence, Stone Creek produced an annual revenue in excess of $50 million.
