Calculation of availability with different storage sizes saved 2.4 MM$ in ethylene storage sphere costs. Researched, developed, built and validated a reliability simulation model for a polyethylene plant expansion. Presented results and forecasted availability, allowing the client to proceed with their project on schedule.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS: Project manager for over 48 different builds with 6 different car builders, totaling almost 7000 cars at a value of 540 MM$. Led study of shipment data and capabilities as Project Manager and saved 10.5 MM$ in project costs by closing the Freeport Container Terminal Project. Developed evaluation protocol and assessed Union Carbide logistics facilities as part of the due diligence for the merger. Documented savings of 2.1 MM$ in the first half of 2007 through the use of standard specifications and MOC'd spec changes. Performed pool fire analysis to show that the existing fleet of AnHCL cars met federal guidelines, saving 6.8 MM$ in replacement car costs. Implemented tankcar design changes that saved Chlorinated solvents fleet replacement 1.5 MM$ over conventional alternatives. Six Sigma Green Belt Leader on the UCC Rail Spec Harmonization project which saved a forecasted 4.5 MM$. Updated and corrected railcar specs which increased net carrying capacity by 5% by using modern components. Researched and analyzed existing rail track structure for heavy axle loads which allowed 12% increase in payload efficiency via 286 Klb GRL railcars. Researched FRA track benchmarks provided technical interpretation of FRA TSR and conducted track inspections at Dow's North American sites. This reduced derailments and better prioritized maintenance. Provided project spec review for a 1500 car storage yard project in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada allowing the of use lower cost materials for low traffic yard areas.
