Managed and conducted all EMC and Safety compliance projects, including UL Listings, FCC and CE ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing on products. • EMC: Conducted complete EMC testing on over 80 B+B product families, including automotive and wireless products. Created detailed Test Plans for each test project, including emissions and immunity testing. This included automotive product EMC testing to CISPR 25 (RF emissions) and SAE J1113 (ESD, transients). Industrial products were tested to European CE, FCC and (occasionally) International requirements. Each project included in-house pre-compliance testing of ESD, transients, Conducted and Radiated Immunity, EFT, Surges, etc., followed by testing at local labs. • Safety: Executed over 20 major UL projects ranging in duration from three to seven months. Created Test Plans for UL, SGS and Intertek lab testing. Conducted testing for IEC/EN/UL 60950-1, UL508 (Listed and Recognized), UL61010-1, and Class-1, Division 2 (ISA 12.12.01) HazLoc products. Participated in dozens of quarterly UL Inspections. Reference UL Files E156766, E222870, E245458 and E353510, and several Multiple-Listed UL Files. Took two-day UL 62368-1 seminar at UL/Northbrook in Nov. 2018.• Test Systems: Designed a dozen or so test systems for manufacturing. Designed and built test setups for EMC/Safety lab testing. • Declarations of Conformity (DoCs): Prepared and maintained 300-400 CE DoCs to the latest versions of Standards and CE Directives, including the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/35/EU). • Calibration (2012 – 2018): Maintained annual calibration for ~150 instruments. • System Test Engineer (2011 – 2013): Wrote and executed hundreds of Test Cases, Suites and Test Plans for B+B automotive and industrial products. This was done by use of IBM's RTC/RQM (Rational Team Concert / Rational Quality Manager) in RQM, as well as reporting Defects in RTC.
