Planned and initiated the startup of a Microsoft Modern Workplace business unit to complement UTG’s existing Audio-Visual offerings.

Co-lead and managed the 30-person Modern Workplace practice at Centric, focused on Microsoft 365 and the employee experience. Created, presented, and sold Proposals and Statements of Work, oversaw numerous projects, planned and executed multiple webinars, wrote numerous though leadership blogs, and designed processes to help manage the project lifecycle from cradle to grave. Helped to create a scalable MS365 Managed Services offering and the MS365 Copilot Readiness offering. Designed and built project estimators, proposal templates, Statements of Work templates, and standardized project artifacts. Designed and built the team’s Knowledge Base and automated SOW tracker application using SharePoint and Power Automate. Collaborated with other Service Offerings and the thirteen business units across the US in working with clients and improving overall Centric business practices. Assisted the Centric IT support team in administering the MS Teams and SharePoint environments.

Lead and delivered client engagements focused on Microsoft 365 collaboration and communication tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.). Served as a trusted advisor for clients who wanted to increase the ROI of MS365 and other collaborative, modern workplace solutions. Provided strategic guidance, delivery excellence oversight, program management, and project management for collaboration projects. Expert in collaboration governance, Microsoft Teams planning and implementations (MS-700 Teams Admin certified), MS Viva, MS365 Copilot, Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) workshops, hands-on training, and Adoption and Change Management (ACM, Prosci certified change manager) planning. Lead a team of 4-6 individuals. Designed and built Power Platform and Azure apps for internal team use and for two different clients.

Assisted the NDU CIO in all management and Information Technology related tasks, to include managing the strategic and operational level information technology policy, plans, and operations for two campuses and over 3,500 faculty, staff and students. Maintained a solid, proactive security posture that met DoD requirements and policies while leading the field in innovative information technology solutions. Supervised a staff of 45 contractors and 15 government civilians to support the University's five component colleges and 11 research centers with information systems, information security, and audio-visual services. Assisted in executing a budget in excess of $11.7 million and various IT contracts. Project manager in charge of transforming NDU into a modern, collaborative organization by focusing on designing and implementing various high-level business processes and to initiate Knowledge Management efforts across the University using SharePoint 2010 as our foundation and using other technologies such as Visual Studio, .Net, C#, CAML, web services, and InfoPath Forms.

Provided guidance and assistance to the Superintendent and senior officers to ensure effective management of information resources. Synchronized IT actions across the US Military Academy and improved IT support to operations, information sharing, system interoperability, and computer / network security. Served as West Point's Chief Knowledge Management Officer with the primary responsibility to design, implement, and manage West Point Knowledge Management systems supporting the entire Academy. Planned and managed the modernization and consolidation of public-facing websites to leverage SharePoint and social networking capabilities. Managed and directed various IT contracts across the Academy. Served as the proponent for West Point IT regulations, policies, and procedures. Lead the Configuration Control Board for managing IT changes across the Academy.

Designed, implemented, and managed West Point’s Knowledge Management System supporting the entire Academy. Planned and lead the team that designed and built business process management capabilities using SharePoint 2010 integrated with various information systems. This included analyzing, improving, and automating numerous business processes such as contract management, hiring actions, staff actions, military leaves, foreign country travel, and organizational / enterprise events management. Included in these efforts was the creation of digital dashboards for organizational and senior leader decision making / information sharing leveraging automated key performance indicators. Developed various SharePoint 2010 based solutions to include creating and modifying web parts, .Net workflows, Nintex workflows, web services, InfoPath Forms, integration with Active Directory, integration with various database management systems, and leveraging other Microsoft Technologies. These automated systems resulted in dramatic efficiency gains, improved organizational effectiveness, and increased transparency across the organization.

Transitioned the Directorate of Admissions from a purely paper-based application process to a completely automated system. This entailed personally gathering and analyzing requirements and then designing and implementing a completely automated system (e.g., submission of application documents, processing of applications through the Admissions Committee, electronic updates to candidate portals, etc.). My personal involvement resulted in cost savings of at least $900K which would have been incurred by hiring an outside development team. Operated and maintained all information systems in support of the Directorate of Admissions. Supervised the operation and maintenance of automation services supporting over 13,000 users, to include US Congressmen, Senators, and their staff. Lead a team of 5 technicians supporting the organization.

Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Course Director, military leader, mentor, and role model for 57 CS majors in two advanced programming courses. Deputy Program Director for the Computer Science program, coordinating teaching assignments, scheduling, and resources for 24 CS courses supporting over 200 CS majors. activities. Served as a member of the West Point Admissions Committee, program lead on the CS Middle States Accreditation committee, a Senior Member of IEEE, and member of ACM. Served as the departmental SharePoint administrator and developer.

•Director of the 24-hour, 365X7 Theater Network Operations and Security Center (TNOSC) for the entire Continental United States (CONUS) Army.•Lead and manage more than 165 civilian and contractor employees with an annual payroll, training, and operational budget exceeding $9M.•Manage, monitor, operate, and secure all Army wide area networks and systems in CONUS and the Central Command area of operations supporting strategic and tactical operations. •Protect the Army's Information Infrastructure from all malicious activities. Successfully defended the Army's networks and systems from several serious attacks that could have degraded or halted Army communications across the world. •Establish a situational reporting capability for more than 20 Army major commands and separate organizations to report their critical information items.•Establish a disaster recovery plan to ensure continuity of operations in the event of system failure due to terrorist activity or natural disaster.•Operate and maintain the Installation Support Modules for the Enterprise Information Systems covering 62 sites worldwide to ensure full support of all processing and transitioning of soldiers in the Army.

Executive officer for a tactical signal battalion that provides worldwide contingency communications in support of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Headquarters, Department of the Army, US Army Forces Command, and the US Army Signal Command. The battalion consisted of six signal companies with a total strength of 618 soldiers and equipment assets that included 75 major communications systems, over 300 tactical vehicles, and 100 tactical generator sets. Responsible for the coordination of all staff functions to include personnel, security, logistics, maintenance, chaplain activities, and the execution of a budget in excess of $2.5M.

Assistant Professor in Computer Science; taught introduction and intermediate programming courses and database management systems.

Commanded a signal company (approximately 150 soldiers) providing large scale communications to supported units.

Served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in C Co, 44th Signal Battalion followed by an Operations Officer in the battalion. Deployed in Desert Storm to include being assigned to Task Force Freedom where we supported all forces taking part in the restoration and reconstruction of Kuwait.
