Mike has a strong networking background. On 9/11, a redundant BGP multi-homed network he designed and implemented for his fortune 500 client failed over transparently, never skipping a beat. More recently, as a presales Senior Systems Engineer Palo Alto Networks, he enjoys engaging with experts and executives alike in his global accounts, helping them to recognize and to close gaps in their security postures, while envisioning what secure digital transformation looks like for them on-prem, in the cloud, on the endpoint, and in the SOC. He is comfortable and able to lead discussions at both the expert practitioner and senior leadership levels. Mike enjoys getting to know people and building long-term relationships with his clients and his colleagues and is genuinely interested in their needs and success. Mike also enjoys playing the trumpet and can be heard from time to time entertaining passers-by in Prospect Park, in Brooklyn, NY. One sunny Saturday afternoon in June, 2020, Mike was doing just that when a stranger paused to listen. When Mike finished playing, the stranger said, "There was a moment there that was just amazing for me" and took a wad of $20 bills out of his pocket and put it down next to Mike." Mike smiled and said, "I'm glad you enjoyed the tune, but please keep your money." The stranger refused, leaving Mike with $200.
