I am a senior software engineer and tech and team lead at Ordnance Survey, the national mapping agency of Great Britain. I have over five years of experience in software development, specializing in web development, GIS, and cloud computing. I have a keen interest in project delivery and have taken on delivery management responsibilities for my team. This includes facilitating agile ceremonies, release planning and coordination, stakeholder management l, involvement in the creation of user stories and removing blockers from my team.I have a BSc degree in Computing and IT (Software Engineering) from The Open University and a certification as a SCRUM Master from The Agile Alliance.In my current role, I lead a team of developers and testers in enhancing the OS DataHub web application, a platform that provides access to rich geospatial data and services. I use ReactJS, Material UI, and NodeJS to create user-friendly and responsive interfaces, and I also act as a delivery manager for the team and their projects, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to deliver. Previously, I worked on the creation of a vector tile service and the ETL process for the NGD project, using ESRI ArcGIS Pro, Apigee, Java Spring, and Microsoft Azure. I have also been involved in the development and launch of the OS DataHub, working on the front end, data transformation, and web services. I have developed skills in Azure DevOps Services, C#, and XML, and I have written several Powershell scripts for deployment and release pipelines. I am passionate about creating innovative and user-friendly solutions for providing technical services, and I am an advocate for implementing Agile methodologies into workflows.
