I have been focusing on team development and leadership while also fulfilling my duties as a programmer. I introduced systematic code reviews, a Scrum-like approach to task management, and using a fixed coding standard. This has lead to a team that is a lot less fragmented, is focused on improving, and is more engaged in the process. While working with our manager I have been managing our projects plan to ensure they are reasonable and doable and to help communicate with the team what is coming.I work with the other developers to ensure they know what to work on and where to find the information they need. One of my favorite tasks is writing classes and interfaces that the rest of the team can use to build the rest of the feature suite.I often communicate with outside vendors to engineer, coordinate, and test our integration. Recent projects include using CXML to integrate purchasing with supplies, developing a new student information system, and integrating our current SIS with a curriculum management system.
