Topline P&L responsibility with revenues exceeding $600 Million and 560,000 residential customers in a wide geographic area and over 60 cities and towns. Directed an expense budget of $36 million. Introduced a complete restructuring of the division sales and marketing functions by consolidating 5 regions into one divisional sales and marketing team. The restructuring Included all product offerings and pricing to create cost efficiencies within the programing as well as a standard allowing for consistent channel line ups and pricing and packaging. The new structure produced a 3.2 million dollar year one savings while top line revenues grew at 22%.

Led a team of 8 Sales and Marketing Directors with responsibility of 86 employees - inside sales, direct sales, new market development, marketing communications and marketing operations. In addition Michael served as vice president and General Manager of Cox Business services. Responsible for topline P&L with revenues exceeding $320 Million in the residential division and 37 million in the business services unit. The region had 260,000 residential customers in West Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma including 26 cities and 14 offices. Directed an expense budget of $16 million. Created a region by combining 2 cable systems with an acquisition of TCA cable and 160,000 customers. Led the creation of the regional sales and marketing departments as well as launched Cox Business Services. The first business services unit in Cox Inc. Was responsible for creation of the initial revenue budget and the migration of 160,000 customers to new products and new packages.During the consolidation led with the senior team the capital improvements and product launches including high speed internet, telephony, wide area networks and fiber optics based data transmission. Our 4 year capital spend was 550 million. Michael introduced a retail sales model including opening 11 interactive retail stores, negotiated major distribution agreements with 3rd parties like Best Buy, Circuit City and numerous independent retailers. Handled major negotiations with Texas Tech University as well as the largest Apartment management groups in the country. In addition led the introduction of market segmentation and clustering creating efficient and effective customer acquisitions.At the six year mark was a principle lead in the preparations, presentations and ultimate sale of the region for 2.7 billion dollars to a private equity group.
