As the Domain Architect for NYL's life policy administration systems running on Mainframe, my role involves analyzing, designing, and assisting in the modernization of applications to contemporary technologies, primarily AWS. Collaborating with our IBM partner, I spearhead the transformation of mainframe green screens to web interfaces and oversee the implementation of web services.

I was responsible for guiding the design, execution, and upkeep of the AWS backend ecosystem for the Doodlematic application, which subsequently transformed into pixicade.com. My duties encompassed formulating cost models, setting up the business IT framework, and offering assistance in live presentations. Overall, was a leading or supportive role in any required capacity.

Joined FAST as the first full-time Director of Technology. My role involved leading the design and implementation of all IT aspects, including the corporate network and assets, security, the AWS development ecosystem, and being the principal designer of the FAST SaaS Platform. I handled cost projections, operational budgets, established relationships with contractors, and managed the procurement of IT assets. Additionally, I supported job recruiting, mentored team members, assisted in sales, and provided thought leadership in the design of application scaling.

Joined as a programmer in 1997 and rapidly advanced to the roles of IT Software Development Manager and Infrastructure Architect. My responsibilities included supporting a broad range of middleware and operating environments, managing software automation pipelines, and designing application scaling. Additionally, I provided round-the-clock customer Tier 3 support, assisted in sales, and played a key role in ALIP implementations.

At Datamatics, when the team comprised six full-time employees, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse array of roles. While my primary function was as a Software Developer specializing in COBOL, C, and C++, I also engaged in creating technical documentation, conducting on-site installations, and providing application training. Additionally, my responsibilities included performing data conversions, software design, and offering Level 3 support.
