Led the production & fulfillment, digital printing and client service organizations which included 5 sites consisting of 750,000 ft^2 of operating space and 500 associates. Reallocated underutilized printing assets; consolidated facilities, while acquiring and integrating the facilities and staff of a major client.

Reported to CEO, as SVP Operations, led the distribution, customer service, mail order and payment processing operations supporting $2 billion of Fingerhut, Macy’s, and Bloomingdales’ merchandise sales. Oversaw a $245M annual expense budget, 4,500 associates, and 5 facilities spanning 4.5M sq. ft. Annually shipped over 28M direct to the consumer parcels and serviced over 10M customer phone contacts. Full P&L and sales responsibility for a $41M 3rd party fulfillment & phone sales business supporting Walmart.com, eToys, Pier One, Carlson Companies, Children’s Place, Levi’s, Intuit, and Montgomery Ward. Fingerhut is now Blue Stem Brands located in Minneapolis, MN.

Led the distribution, retail grocery supply functions of 4 distribution sites. Introduced classical industrial engineering work measurement programs and incentive plans. Optimized facility layouts, workforce management, delivery routing, and product location and cube algorithms. Launched new off the shelf Warehouse Management System at Associated Wholesale Grocers and customized Warehouse Management System at Fairway. Partnered with union and non union teams to improve the competitive edge of these operations. Migrated all deliveries to same day.
