With over 15 years of experience in translational neuroscience, I am a Senior Director at Sage Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing novel therapies for central nervous system disorders. My primary focus is on leading the fluid biomarker group, which aims to understand the mechanism of disease and mechanism of action of Sage's molecules and areas of interest.Throughout my career, I have contributed to drug discovery and development for various neuropsychiatric conditions, such as epilepsy, major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, intellectual disability, and autism. I have led teams through lead optimization to delivery of development candidates and have taken those assets into early clinical development, including IND enabling, phase 1, and translational medicine. I have also supported multiple discovery and clinical teams with biomarker discovery and development to support indication and endpoint selection. I have published multiple papers and patents in the field of neuropharmacology and kinase inhibitors. My mission is to advance the science and innovation of brain health and improve the lives of patients suffering from neurological disorders.
