At the age of 13, I wrote a composition for homework depicting an alien invasion. The spaceship is enormous enough to cover the entire sky and capable of firing a vertical beam that instantaneously destroys a building. Coincidentally, the spacecraft is destroyed only after disabling its impregnable shield using a special attack. The alien ship in my story sounds eerily similar to that in a movie made in Hollywood. I have been wondering if it is just a coincidence. I knew back then I have a passion for creating.Unfortunately, the time of my graduation coincided with the technological boom when the PC starts to reach the common-households. As such, I was inducted into the technical sector, earning a Diploma in Electronics and Communication from Singapore Polytechnic.I started my career as a regular for the Republic of Singapore Air Force, working as an electronics technician on the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System. I rose through the rank from Corporal to Staff Sergeant through my six years of service and lead a team of six technicians in my final year of service.I wanted to rise higher, and so upon the end of the contract, I furthered my studies to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). Have since worked as a Product Engineer for high-end server product in Maxtor Peripherals and Project Coordinator for AgilFence System at Singapore Technologies Electronics (SatCom).Although I excel in my field of work, they did not give me the fulfilment that I had sought.As such, I sought a Master's degree in Digital Media in the hope of making a break into the industry.Since then, I have created and published three mobile games on the Android platform, work as a Modder for in-game outfits, and also writes a blog and create videos to showcase my work. I finally find the type of work that I can fully immerse myself in. The joy of being able to help players modify their in-game outfits to their taste satisfies me greatly.As the pandemic hits in early 2020, I reflected on my past work and reconciled with my passion for writing.As children, we all have our time creating lots of imaginary stuff in our heads, from both supernatural and technological realms - Of objects, secret base, to even imaginary friends. Growing up, some of these imaginations are lost, some remain, and yet, some evolved. Thus, I combined all those imaginations with the things that I have learned through the years to write and publish my first fictional book.
