This resulted in a restructure of the marketing team to deliver marketing through Agile methodology. Like most organisations, teams were previously organised by marketing channel or function. The Aviva retail marketing team now comprises of multi-disciplined teams each focused around different customer journeys. Teams have the skillset and authority to deploy marketing campaigns entirely within their team. The restructure was a significant undertaking, changing more than 100 roles across four locations. Since the restructure, marketing campaigns are conceived and deployed within hours, rather than weeks. -
