Mike Obert is a Physical Therapist and Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Mount Saint Joseph University. He has practiced at NovaCare Rehabilitation in Cincinnati since 2005, and was the Center Manager there from 2009-2014. He has been a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 2009. His clinical focus is outpatient orthopedics, with specialties and interests including sports medicine, manual therapy, dry needling, Graston Technique, vestibular rehabilitation, and industrial rehabilitation. He has been a faculty member at MSJU since 2014 with teaching responsibilities including Applied Orthopedics, Advanced Manual Therapy, Basic Examination and Evaluation, Exercise Physiology, and Vestibular content. He received is BS in Exercise Science and Masters in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University, and earned his Doctorate in Health Sciences with a focus on education and orthopedics from the University of Indianapolis.Mike also serves as the Executive Director for Payton's Lemonade Stand, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide care and support to children who are facing medical, personal or economic hardships. While raising funds for these children, we strive to empower kids to participate in philanthropy. We aim to teach them the value of putting forth effort through the hosting of their lemonade stands to make the lives of children going through hardships a little bit sweeter.
