Project management and coordination of the development of a neutron detector instrument (HRNS) to the experimental fusion reactor ITER in France. The project is led by Uppsala University in collaboration with IFJ (PL) and CNR (IT). The HRNS instrument is used to measure a time resolved neutron spectra, the information is used to determine the fuel ion ratio in the plasma core. Basically, is the fuel in the plasma enough or does it need more fuel in terms of deuterium or tritium.

PhD studies within metal cutting of single-phase (pure) metals e.g. copper, niobium and tungsten. Focus on surface integrity and quality of the machined surface and also the tool wear and wear mechanisms. The studies are related to the materials used at reasearch facilites such as ESS and MAX IV.
