I am a former educator turned AI program manager that aspires to exist at the intersection of people and transformative technology.Prior to joining Expedia, I worked in education for 7 years, first serving as a 10th grade Chemistry Teacher and later leading the high school as the Dean of Students. Teaching sparked my passion for connecting with teammates, collective problem solving, and coaching others to achieve their goals. As Dean of Students I had an opportunity to manage a complex organization with a variety of ambitious academic, talent, and operational goals. While pursuing my MBA with a specialty in Marketing Analytics, I discovered that I had a passion for AI/ML technology. Since my time in school, I have dedicated a lot of my free time to researching, studying, and ideating on business applications for AI/ML. I attend virtual meetups in the Seattle area, take asynchronous learnings, and spend my happy hours with friends ruminating on the potential AI/ML to change the world. Upon graduation from UW, I served as the Chief of Staff to the CPO of Expedia. In this role, I gained valuable insights into a world-class tech organization while driving, executing, and measuring the strategy of the People Team. While I enjoyed being Chief of Staff, I had always dreamed of being closer to AI tech. I was fortunate to find a Technical Program Management role at Expedia on the Search ML team. In this role, I got to work on enterprise grade ML systems within Expedia's core lodging search business. I have supported 5 different ML and Product teams across Search, Platform Trust, and Recommendations.
