Tencolours Canada Jul 2019 - Present
    Canada
The journey of tencolours is emotive storytelling through real human connection - to share the beauty of people, the world and adventure - telling stories that are unwashed, but not dirty. tencolours Canada is my solo act where I focus on adventure documentary filmmaking. The name 'ten colours' came about from the Japanese proverb 'Ju-nin-to-iro", which literally translates to "ten colours, ten people, ten stories". And while we don't have ten people, the meaning is that everyone has their own story and every story has its own perspective for every individual.

  • Confidence Reimagined
Owner, Business Strategy, Life And Confidence Coach
    Confidence Reimagined Feb 2017 - Jul 2019
Seoul, South Korea And Tokyo, Japan
After several attempts at starting and restarting several tech startups, I was personally feeling lost. I wanted some direction for myself during this period of my life. I took a Life Coaching course to help me better understand my perspective on life, my journey. Originally intended just to help me learn about myself, I soon realized that my journey was relatable to so many, and through these interactions I founded "Confidence Reimagined" and began confidence coaching in Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan. In Seoul, I personally held several in-person group coaching sessions with as many as 20 participants at a time. Fortuity and circumstance had me meet with one particular individual who was searching for a new direction to her career, which then led to me doing some private (almost corporate) coaching of a large group of unsatisfied individuals for a large business in Pangyo Techno Valley, the Silicon Valley of South Korea. In Tokyo, I was able to continue coaching, mainly doing interview and confidence coaching to small groups of 2 to 5 individuals. I continue confidence and life coaching to this day, albeit indirectly and more casually as opposed to a business.
  • Dnarus (Dna Are Us)
    Co-Founder And Partner
Dnarus (Dna Are Us) Mar 2017 - Nov 2017
    Seoul, South Korea
DNA sequence testing has become entwined in our journey of identity and self discovery. We all want to discover more about who we are and where we come from. Traditionally, DNA results have been very segregated based on the dataset of DNA information that has been collected. Were you born in an Asian country, to an Asian family, with Asian heritage and background, only to find out that your DNA test says you are 85% East Asian? No surprise there! By combining datasets on a global scale, we are able to give more granular insights into your DNA makeup, especially for the Asian population, whether Korean, Chinese, or Japanese. Our process includes cross examination of multiple proprietary datasets to glean new insights into your genetic makeup.
  • Find My Bike (Formerly Bike Ninja)
    Co-Founder
Find My Bike (Formerly Bike Ninja) Sep 2016 - Nov 2017
    Tokyo, Japan
Find my Bike was born out of the frustration of bike theft. After one of the founders of the business had personally lost 6 bicycles to theft during his time at the University of Berkeley, he realized something needed to change. With both partners being avid cyclists, they came together fortuitously in Tokyo, Japan to create Bike Ninja (to later become 'Find My Bike'), a small, hidden, entirely encapsulated GPS and sim card enabled tracking device that you could insert into your handlebar stem or bicycle frame to track its whereabouts.
