The name 'ten colours' came about from the Japanese proverb 'Ju-nin-to-iro", which literally translates to "ten colours, ten people, ten stories". And while we don't have ten people, the meaning is that everyone has their own story and every story has its own perspective for every individual.

Recruited by the Covid Secretariat department of the GNWT, I was brought in on a 6 month contract to consolidate all of the Covid records across all of their system databases and streamline their data collection processes. I was the lead Oracle expert, managing the three main administration systems for overseeing all of the travel requests for entry into the Territory during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was also in charge of managing and administering new database changes through their Oracle APEX system implementation.

As a freelance consultant, I work with clients to visualize their data needs. Tableau is a data visualization platform to showcase and analyze large amounts of data into easy to read metrics and visualizations.

During my time with ARI, I was initially hired to deliver on Phase 3 of an Ethnobotanical Garden project, which was to be an interactive website showcasing the ethnobotany of the Beaufort Delta and offering information and learning for those interested in surrounding boreal forest. The entire project as a whole was funded by the Virtual Museum of Canada as one of their virtual learning programs. I also worked in capacity for the ARI Robotics club and the now INNOVATE Centre for Arts and Crafts (formerly ACTMC).

Evolving and building upon insights gained through our previous startup, Shiny Barnacle, I was able to join forces with other like minded educational facilitators to build an English Language Academy in the heart of Tokyo. What started with just 2 locations in Tokyo, has now grown to include many locations across Japan, with English language camps around the world, and a new physical location sister Academy in Vancouver, Canada. As the curriculum and language coordinator, I built out the first language program for the academy, which included materials and programming from kindergarten up to age 16.

After several attempts at starting and restarting several tech startups, I was personally feeling lost. I wanted some direction for myself during this period of my life. I took a Life Coaching course to help me better understand my perspective on life, my journey. Originally intended just to help me learn about myself, I soon realized that my journey was relatable to so many, and through these interactions I founded "Confidence Reimagined" and began confidence coaching in Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan. In Seoul, I personally held several in-person group coaching sessions with as many as 20 participants at a time. Fortuity and circumstance had me meet with one particular individual who was searching for a new direction to her career, which then led to me doing some private (almost corporate) coaching of a large group of unsatisfied individuals for a large business in Pangyo Techno Valley, the Silicon Valley of South Korea. In Tokyo, I was able to continue coaching, mainly doing interview and confidence coaching to small groups of 2 to 5 individuals. I continue confidence and life coaching to this day, albeit indirectly and more casually as opposed to a business.

Find my Bike was born out of the frustration of bike theft. After one of the founders of the business had personally lost 6 bicycles to theft during his time at the University of Berkeley, he realized something needed to change.
