Mike is the owner, founder, chief executive and head brewer at Rendezvous Junction Brewing Company - a small craft brewery in Rogers, AR. Mike’s love for craft beer began over 25 years ago in Seattle and matured to a passion as an avid home brewer. Mike was responsible for conceptualizing, building, implementing and overseeing the Health & Wellness business strategy including the strategy formulation and the change leadership essential for strategic initiative deployment. His responsibilities also included delivering insights & analytics on stated initiative objectives and presenting new or alternative innovative solutions to enhance productivity for the health & wellness businesses.

Responsible for designing a workforce strategy for the health & wellness business. Mike established the vision, stood up the organization necessary to well-execute the initiatives, provided the necessary & crucial change leadership to successfully deploy the largest change initiative in the history of Walmart Pharmacy. He improved workforce engagement, adoption & ownership of the program initiatives, and successfully delivered on operational strategies essential for driving growth, mitigating risks and conserving resources. His responsibilities included but were not limited to providing:- Workforce planning architecture & infrastructure - Forecasting of workload demands and modeling innovation scenarios- Workforce agility & flexibility designs to meet fluctuating daily, weekly and seasonal demands- Labor allocation ($3.5+ B Annual) across 5,000 stores - Web based scheduling, attendance management efficacy and time off management- Enhancing the quality of workforce relationships- Workforce analytics, financial planning, budgeting and variance reporting- Contract negotiation, outsourcing and vendor management

Reported directly to the EVP of People for Walmart Stores, U.S. Responsible for leading and transforming recruitment efforts and employment branding for Walmart Stores U.S. Division, including home office and field operations, health and wellness (pharmacy and optometry), human resources, merchandising, marketing, real estate, financial services, and more. Also, responsible for military, diversity, professional association and campus relations efforts.

Promoted to conceptualize, design and lead the Health & Wellness organization through an existential staffing crisis (770 FTE coast to coast shortfall of pharmacists). Responsible for organizational design, recruitment strategy development and deployment and in leading field operations and recruitment team through a challenging era of talent supply vs demand. Responsibilities included recruitment operations for pharmacy and optometry, campus and professional association relations, employment marketing/branding, and workforce planning.

Responsible for all pharmacy operations for 10 to 15 districts ($1.2B annual sales) including financial performance, workforce management, merchandising, compliance, and more.

Led a team of 15 pharmacies ($80M annualized sales) in Wal-Mart stores, including pharmacy managers, staff pharmacists, and supportive staff. Responsible for operations, merchandising, personnel, asset protection, and financials for both the prescription and otc departments.
