Responsible for the achievement of financial targets and client success objectives for Education Services with a special focus on delivery excellence and client relationship management in environments to include Self-Hosted, Managed Hosted, and SaaS.Responsibilities included providing direct oversight and quality assurance for Project Managers, delivering catalog-based technical and training services, representing $3M annually,identifying gaps in offerings requiring development or customizations, established and maintained communication with client project leaders; served as the first point of escalation for consulting engagements, internally and externally, identified and developed opportunities for follow-on services including providing direct sales support where appropriate, contributed to Blackboard Consulting’s Project Management methodology and other knowledge capital.Recognized as the 2016 Global Consulting Rookie of the year.

As the Director of Implementations and Solutions Engineering at Blackboard, I was responsible for managing an expanded group of Solutions Engineers with expertise in all blackboard Products for the market to include, Blackboard Learn, Engage, Connect, Collaborate, Moodlerooms, and our mobile app in an effort to support our Sales Team and Customer Success Advocates. In addition, I managed a talented group of Integration Analysts responsible for the integration of our products with various student information systems in all markets. As the Manager of the K12 solutions engineering team at Blackboard my focus was on working with consulting services, product development, and sales management to provide solutions engineers with the resources and support necessary to effectively demonstrate the strategic value of the Blackboard solution throughout the sales cycle. I also work directly with regional sales managers to craft and sell the strategic value of the Blackboard solution in key sales accounts.Duties and Responsibilities include:• Lead the development and dissemination of resources used by the broader solutions engineering team• Manage solutions engineering team demonstration & evaluation servers as the functional & content project lead• Lead knowledge management activities of the broader solutions engineering team, with support of the Resources Manager• Manage select projects as part of the implementation of the solutions engineering annual operating plan• Manage academic solution engineers’ performance & conduct annual reviews• Work with regional sales managers in high-level and/or complex sales opportunities, serving as an expert in Blackboard products, including their functionality, industry application, and deployment methodologies • Deliver high quality product demonstrations to potential customers • Work closely with the K12 Services Director to increase revenue in training and services.

Solution engineers work with regional sales managers and services professionals as strategic partners in crafting the solution and the vision of the solution with the client in order to ensure success in the sales cycle.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe solutions engineer in the K-12 sector is responsible for the following>• Serve as an expert in Blackboard products, including their architecture, functionality, and deployment methodologies• Engage in strategic conversations with customer constituents• Deliver high quality product demonstrations to potential customers• Work with regional sales managers to develop solutions and document in proposals• Provide rapid, accurate responses to questions from sales staff in the field• Provide information and recommendations to assist with the development of responses to RFPs/RFIs. • Setup product demonstration and evaluation environments and oversee evaluation process
