Following acquisition of Pure360 by Spotler Group, I took up the position of Technical Director across both the Pure360 and Spotler UK companies, responsible for management and successful running of all Product Development, QA (Quality Assurance), Live Operations and Internal IT Support teams, ensuring successful product roadmap and BAU development delivery across multiple platforms.

Following Pure360's largest ever investment, gained through consistent growth and a profitable, appealing product with a growing customer base, the additional funds allowed us to greatly increase the size of our development team, scaling by a factor of 5. This led to a restructuring within the Product Development management team and a change of my role and responsibilities to focus on the software development side.This includes:- Overseeing front and back end software development teams totalling ~50 heads including team management and recruitment (including East Europe based offshore team of 35), - Product Ownership of various product modules including platform reverse engineering, user story and acceptance criteria definition, backlog prioritisation (utilising the MoSCoW model), Product Owner and scrum master roles depending on needs/modules, leading planning and estimation utilising story point estimation/planning poker methods, leading retrospectives and iteration reviews.- Also responsible for process design, implementation and management to support the distributed scrum teams to ensure high quality communication, collaboration and delivery despite geographically distributed teams.- Overseeing various teams working in both Scrum and Kanban agile practices including associated tools, ceremonies and processes.- Overseeing development teams utilising PHP and Scala alongside associated technologies such as MySQL, Slick etc.- A wide range of assisting responsibilities including mentoring, training and direct assistance on problem solving, troubleshooting, code analysis, architecture design, software development best practice, process management,product ownership, Ux, design and information architecture.- Heading up the internal Business Intelligence team, delivering an MI platform based on the MS BI stack (SQL Server 2012, SSIS, Qlikview) including data requirement gathering, architecture design, dashboard design, recruitment and training.

Responsible for management of the Product Development and QA teams to ensure successful, timely delivery of new product features and maintenance fixes and changes to the platform.

Responsible for developing Pure's email and digital marketing platform using a variety of frameworks, platforms and web development languages, design patterns and tools.

Responsible for cost auditing and and analysis to ensure efficient and effective expenditure of budgets. During first year, was responsible for supplier evaluation and other changes resulting in a £200k drop in costs.
