LinkSource is a technology services provider and consulting firm in Northern California. As COO, I established and grew an IT services organization (Managed Service Provider) from the ground up, specializing in Microsoft Office 365, IT support and core business systems (Microsoft Exchange, Sharepoint, Dynamics AX & CRM, etc.) both on premise and cloud-based. I partner with the CEO on a daily basis to drive operational efficiencies and develop new streamlining processes. • Built a team of five technicians and developers to operate the IT business.• Successfully identified, negotiated, and closed the company’s first acquisition, Unleashed Networks• Worked with our in-house and overseas developers to migrate the organization from outdated customer systems to Microsoft Dynamics and Office 365.• Integrated Autotask, Kaseya and Quotewerks into MSP operations.• Designed network and A/V specifications for new office building in 2010.• Designed network and A/V specifications for new expansion building in 2013.• Migrated over 50 business customers to new Exchange and Sharepoint deployments with teams varying in size from 1 to 50.• Conducted over 30 hands-on training sessions with business customers to demonstrate workflow enhancements offered by the new business processes I sold them.

Rapid Link was a $19 Million publicly-traded company offering voice and internet services to business customers via its own network facilities. In 2006, we sold TNC to Rapid Link, Inc. who specialized in VoIP services. I chose to remain with the company and operate the Omaha facilities as well as consolidate their California operations into Omaha. I then oversaw the operations of the state of the art hybrid fiber/fixed-wireless networks in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., St. Louis, Jacksonville, Dallas and Los Angeles.• Led the change from a VoIP (Vonage-style) business model to that of an access provider.• Successfully integrated four acquisitions (Communications Advantage, Web-Breeze Networks, iBroadband Networks and One Ring Networks) into the Rapid Link operation. • Designed a geographically-diverse and redundant open-source VoIP switching platform to handle our voice customers. This platform enabled us to move away from a third-party vendor and save 80% in hardware costs.• Designed a wireless rural broadband network to serve five counties in Northern California. The California Advanced Services Fund (CASF) awarded Rapid Link a $2.8 Million Grant to fund the construction.After spinning off the operational entities, the public company Rapid Link, Inc. was successfully sold to Blackbird Corporation on February 24th, 2010. Afterwards, I worked with the lead investor, Laurus-Valens, to manage the remaining companies while pursuing a new executive position.

In 2001, my former employer - Worldport Communications Inc. (WRDP) - was unable to raise sufficient funding to continue following its business plan and chose to exit the telecommunications industry. At that time, I built a small team to form a corporation and acquired TNC from WRDP.• Became proficient with the financial and business operations of the telecommunications industry.• Successfully established TNC as a registered Interexchange Carrier (IXC) throughout the U.S.• Launched sales agent program selling long distance services to small and medium sized businesses nationwide.

Worldport Communications (WRDP) was a publicly traded, facilities-based global telecommunications carrier that purchased ICX in April of 1998. I took a position within WRDP and was promoted to Director of Global Enhanced Services. I oversaw the operation of the ICX business, as well as the enhanced services of Telenational Communications, Inc. (TNC) which WRDP has previously acquired.• Successfully moved the ICX network to Omaha, NE and integrated it into the TNC facility.• Closed the California operations of WRDP in order to enhance the efficiency of the company and cut costs.• Devised and implemented many network configuration and routing changes in the Omaha network which increased our gross profit over 10%.

ICX provided calling services utilizing callback technology to customers around the world.• Implemented the first callback switching platform for the company.• Designed, installed and maintained all ICX network services.• Pioneered and personally installed a dedicated voice connection between Japan and California using innovative packetized compression technology which matches conceptually with now popular VoIP systems.

Resource Communications was a master sales agency for the MTC long distance services I was selling independently. In June of 1993, I sold this base of customers to Resource and took an operational position within the company.• Performed technical training of salespeople.• Provided sales and technical support for large multi-locations clients including Dreyer’s Ice Cream and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.• Managed the transition of $10M in revenue to other carriers when MTC collapsed in 1997.

As a young entrepreneur, I spent several years with a partner in my own business. We sold car stereo & alarm systems, manufactured custom speaker enclosures, and built show vehicles to represent such manufacturers as Kicker, Precision Power, MB Quart and Blaupunkt.
