As the first Data Science IC, I've helped build out the DS org since 2021. I led the design and implementation of a large scale UAM (air taxi) simulation model to help Archer evaluate potential markets and estimate demand. I've worked closely with a small team of product engineers to build out the software that will power our UAM operation in the coming years. My role includes:- Gathering requirements from various teams across the business- Implementing core algorithms (e.g., vehicle routing) which serve as the backbone for our on-demand air taxi network- Data modeling and data engineering- Implementing APIs and backend services- Mentoring junior team members and ramping up new hires as the team grows

Graduate internship with the Operations Research and Computational Analysis (ORCA) team. My main research consisted of developing an optimization model to be used as a tool for analysis of the domestic passenger air network in times of disruption.A second project I was involved with consisted of a financial analysis of the economic impacts that may result in times of disruption to the Soo Locks in the Great Lakes.

I worked with two different professors on two separate research projects. The first involved applying mathematical modeling and optimization techniques to maximize expected revenue while adhering to new NOx emission standards (American Electric Power). The second involved working on a team to develop natural-language understanding software with the ability to access, retrieve, and understand the relationships between data from various databases (Honda).

I taught four undergraduate algebra classes per week. My duties included reviewing material taught in the lectures by the professor, discussing homework questions, creating quizzes, holding office hours, and grading all items.

I worked as a consultant on the Improvement Services team analyzing processes within companies and working to increase efficiency, reduce cost, promote growth, and increase productivity. Worked for a variety of companies to helping to improve their operations, including:- Amano: Through a hands-on approach, I worked to implement the Toyota Production System philosophy at this time clock manufacturing facility- Center on Aging: I helped restructure the organization and redesign the work flow within this government agency which provides services to the elderly.- Ransohoff: I created a template in Microsoft Excel for the creation of performance management dashboards to provide important company metrics visually to workers, management, and customers.
