Managed the completion and workover operations in a lean company with 3 engineers where every decision considered the capital and LOE budget with a goal of accelerating production to maximize NPV. Executed daily activities with zero recordable injuries leading 3 engineers, 2 techs and field staff with 2021 efficiency gains of 9% in pumping hours per day, 13% increase in stages per day, while reducing mob times by 17%. Realized 5.9% actual savings to completion budget reducing 2020 cost by 7% from 2020 actuals. Measuring critical KPIs coupled with SMART goalsetting delivered predictable, cost-effective results.Accountable for the entire completion and workover operation inclusive of the AFEs, water sourcing, sand logistics and engineering to maximum value through vigorous cost benefit analysis while trialing new technology to identify step-change opportunities. Improved coil tubing drillout performance through a systematic process that included plug types, BHA mandates, and mill design to consistently achieve less than one hour per plug cleanout results in the harsh conditions of the Haynesville play.Intervention and workover success in the Haynesville included the tubing install program, various fish including 5500’ of 2-3/8 coil, removed shale bridges from frac hit wells, opened casing restrictions, ran cameras in the lateral to diagnosis casing damage, milled scale and wall cake, and tubing cleanouts using standalone snubbing units, rig and rig assist, and 1-1/4” or 2-3/8” coil tubing.

Worked as a completion engineer and as a lead on the BD technical team of GGRE disciplines to screen assets and quantify reserves of various opportunities for an operator looking to acquire domestic US assets. Bid on multiple assets of various size, taking one new drill opportunity to the drill schedule. In addition to the consulting responsibilities, I took part in the scope and definition exploring a new business line opportunity within the oil and gas space.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Directed a drilling program of up to 10 rigs capable of drilling extended laterals with up to 4 rigs capable of top setting wells in the Marcellus and Utica formations of PA, WV, and OH. Safely drilled complex wellbores engineered to include pull backs, step outs, and extended laterals on pads with well count exceeding 20 wells with various wellhead spacing. Managed the SIMOPs aspects of return to pad drilling including surveillance, risk mitigation, planning, and execution.Also, directed plugging operations of Marcellus, Utica, Oriskany, Lower Huron, and shallow wells in PA, WV, OH, and KY. The activity level included up to 8 plugging crews with equipment engineered for the type of plugging operation. Plugged over 60 wells of various vintages with some wells dating back to the 1910s and others recently drilled Marcellus and Utica wells. Operations included building the pads through placing the monument on the plugged well.

Directed operations for a ~180 well completion program while successfully integrating the Rice Energy operations team into the EQT operation. Leveraged best in class techniques of both programs to improve efficiencies and assembled a solid completions team built for success. Managed the integration strategy and execution for the completion department including orientation training material, procedure review, day one activities, vendor mix, contracts, business needs, and the long-term vision while supporting new ideas and tools to EQT.

Managed the day to day activity of a robust annual completion program overseeing the design, preparation, and execution of a 150 to 220 well program. Stimulated multiple wells employing zipper frac techniques completing over 10,000 stages some years, and delivered those wells to sales by deploying drill out operations including coil tubing, rig/rig assist, and standalone snubbing units. The completion department setup pads with containment and ancillary equipment, prepped wells for completion operations, remediated problem wells of various nature, and performed intervention work including tubing installations. Activity level peaked at 12 active frac crews, with up to 10 drill out and flowback operations. In addition, I managed a 150+ well Lower Huron program using nitrogen fracs through a ball and baffle sleeve OH packer system. After stimulation, the baffles were milled out on foam prior to flowing the wells back to salable gas.

Managed the whole breadth of Halliburton services to Oil and Gas operators in the Northeast basin including the Marcellus, Utica, Upper Devonian, and Lower Huron plays. Worked with the team to develop a strategic plan including growth projections, customer mix and targeted service offerings at the area level. Responsible for the P&L statement of the entire Northeast division for all product lines. Services included bits, mud, directional drilling, cement, casing equipment, wireline, frac, completion tools, coil tubing and chemical sales for districts operating in PA, WV, OH, and MI.

Initiated wireline operations in the Northeast with a small startup business of two plug and perf units growing the business to 12 plug and perf trucks.
