Review current and future plans and operations for the department including, fleet management, major public works projects, such as roads, interchanges, and maintenance operations. Partner with the community to gain feedback and perspective on future plans. Advise the Castle Rock Town Council on all area's related to the Public Works department and recommend resolutions for the Council and the town to adopt.

Partner with administration, teachers, parent teacher organizations, parents and community members to provide feedback on all aspects of the school in order to ensure the school is providing the highest quality education for the students

General Manager of a $50 million a year Home Depot store. Working for The Home Depot was a fantastic introduction to the business world. Integrating my store into the overall goals and strategy of a Fortune 20 company proved to be an excellent way to prepare myself for my current position with Edward Jones. The analysis of an individual business and the constant interaction with customers, business partners, and the community are all skills that translate directly over. Learning to communicate with a variety of customers, from the do-it-yourselfer, to large contractors was a key to successes. Equally, guiding, coaching, and mentoring individual leaders in my store led to the success of the business. My major accomplishments include:-Manage a P&L designed to generate a profit even through "The Great Recession." Achieved $2.4 million in profit ($400k above goal) through this period.-Strength the organization by leading up to 250 associates towards common goals, including 18 department heads and five assistant managers-Continuous self improvement through formal education and individual training programs that included deep business analysis of competitors, both locally and nationally-Additional responsibilities included the Operations and Lumber & Building materials Captain. That role includes leading and mentoring managers and department heads across a district of 11 stores.

Serving in the U.S. Army is the most formative experience of my life. I deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Lieutenant and to Iraq as a Captain. All told I spent over half of my time in the Army deployed to Combat, Peacekeeping, or Training Exercises. I was an officer in the Cavalry for my entire career. The Army taught me the value of uncompromising Integrity, and a devotion to Duty that I carry with me to this day. After 10 years of serving my country I resigned my commission so I could try new things in business world (eventually leading to Edward Jones) and start a family. Some of the highlights of my Army Career include:-Commander of a 135+ man Cavalry Troop, Fox Troop, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, deployed to combat in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Fox Troop was deployed throughout the Anbar Provence in Iraq, often serving to reinforce various units in the Regiment who were in intense operations.-Awarded the Bronze Star for Valor, the Bronze Star for Service, among other awards.-Served as an Executive Officer of Comanche Troop, 1-1 Cavalry Squadron, in Germany-Deployed as a Platoon Leader of 1st Platoon, Apache Troop 1-1 Cavalry Squadron in Bosnia Herzegovina
