There have been a number of significant changes this year and I have stepped into a new role here at Verisk. This role reflects what I have been doing for some time I suppose. The role is marketing engagement, sales and partner development. I am continually interacting with Insurance leadership who seek to improve the development and execution of standard operating procedures and application of best practices. Technology can and does support such efforts so it is truly a partnership as we work in an area that requires continual improvement.I am a member of the ISO Claims Partners team here at Verisk. One of the primary performance drivers for us is customer service; striving to make any interaction/discussion the best it can be. I am lucky enough to have developed great friendships with people who started out as prospects for our products and services. The team has since developed customer relationships that continue well into the second decade. The reward? I have been the manager of the claims consulting and analytics team for Verisk's subsidiary ISO Claims Inc, since 2006.From a product delivery/customer service perspective, my current role includes responsibility for supporting existing analytics as well as developing new initiatives. From a team manager perspective, I make all hiring decisions, manage performance assessments and provide the training necessary to promote career growth.The role has expanded over the last 3 years to also include sales initiatives from the initail visit, developing cost-benefit, contract term negotiations and closures. The customer base and our team continues to grow. Our growth, however, has not only been to support our growing customer base. Our analytics team works closely with our business and development teams and as a result we are able to identify new initiatives to improve the product and customer service. We have new services initiatives we have implemented to support best practices, claims investigations and claim payments within our product suite. This has led to improved customer experience with our products which has led to continued multi-year contract renewals. This kind of support has also become a differentiator for us in the ever-competitive search for new customers.We built a new country-wide clustering analysis approach that has successfully identified similar financial trends that exist beyond the traditional state and county borders. This has led to the optimum (and fewer) models of financial trends in the US. Not only has this led to more efficient customer support and model management but the approach has also satisfied the customer's needs at the executive, legal and actuarial levels. This initiative has led to additional services projects for many customers.My previous role included model development and maintenance. Those process are still in use today.

Positions provided increasing leadership responsibilities in development, quality assurance, implementation services and project management of muliple application projects including commissions, billing, claims, work in progress, client, print and management reporting.

Position was in the Canadian office with responsibilities primarily in commercial lines rating requirement definition and application implementation.
