At Mesirow Financial I worked on the Portfolio Management Portal project for online application for hedge fund managers to record and track customer and financial information pertaining to their Currency Management business model. The system handles asset management decisions on behalf of their clients, tracks all clients and accounts information, allows updating of financial information, and performs backend logic to calculate new potential trades on asset valuation changes. This application was to replace their previously used excel worksheets with an easy to use, custom-tailored web application to automate maintaining mandate rules and calculating adjustment orders to free up the client’s time. My responsibilities on the project included:• Developing full functionality of the web application for client profile management, adjustment order management, task management, and various sections of the account management wizard using T-SQL, C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, and JavaScript/JQuery• Facilitating requirements gathering and developing functional specifications and UI/UX wireframes• Coordinating with client infrastructure teams to set up the development, Q.A. and production environments• Managing builds and deployments to the development and Q.A. environments• Schema creation and maintenance in the development database• Unit testing of completed functionality using the N-Unit testing framework
