Apart from managing the company, I spend my time maintaining Tasmania's (maybe even the worlds?) first IoT platform, building robust flood warning systems, delivering energy prepayment solutions and building new innovative solutions for the processing of real-time data. I'm also excited by hybrid app development, and have published some cool new solutions for various clients.

My role with Entura was as the Solution Architect for the Ajenti Data Management System (ADMS). The ADMS is a cloud based time series management system, which is highly versatile and capable of being configured for any application.The main areas of expertise for our system include:1. Agricultural water management, specialising in water meter monitoring, and supplementing this with additional empowering information like budgeting, weather, water supply and forecasts. 2. Power System management, with real-time views into the operation of power stations and associated infrastructure using secure SCADA integration.3. Energy Efficiency, utilising integration with Building Management Systems and data from sub metering equipment from companies like Tassies own Saturn South, we can provide a rich insight into how energy is used within a home or business.4. Water Balance Reporting, where we manage inflows and outflows of a network, where we can totalise use, production and waste, and report on that for operation and compliance reasons.I'm often seen roaming the country, talking to clients on mine sites, farms and in boring old office buildings.

While at XVT Solutions I was the lead software architect for the company. I designed and built the XVT Framework which underpinned most of the software developed by the company during my time there. Highlights of my time at XVT include developing the Reference Data Server (RDS) for Hydro Tasmania, the Student Assessment and Reporting Information System (SARIS) for the Department of Education and a single sign-on system for the Department of Education.
