Experience Highlights:ASIC NIC Driver Development and Software CompatibilityDeveloped multi-threaded driver code, in C, to interface a custom network card to a Windows and Linux platform. This code runs in system kernel space, so great attention had to be paid to carefully manage interrupt levels, priorities, and the intricacies of Windows and Linux internals. The threaded nature of the software was designed to synchronize user I/O and system management tasks.Embedded High Speed 1760 Gigabit DriverAssigned to team as a replacement for a Senior Engineer. Developed hard real-time software device driver for a missile launcher NIC, managed by an embedded system. I was also responsible for developing user level applications, in C/C++ to transmit video data over the custom network interface. Developed software to simulate protocol over network and provided test software to customers.
