Recruited to English China Clays Inc. (acquired by Imerys in 1999 to form Imerys) and advanced to management within an 11-member (initially three) Tax department, overseeing three direct reports at peak. Over tenure, assumed additional responsibilities in a role of increasing scope, navigating the complexities of a French-owned company with numerous foreign affiliates and supporting the ongoing expansion of a North American subsidiary (from eight to 25 legal entities; acquisition companies spanning $20M to $200M) and $1B in annual revenues. Lead/co-lead technology implementation, conversion, and upgrade projects: fixed asset management system (ROSS ERP to SAGE), corporate tax software (Fast Tax to AACTS to OneSource), and tax provision software (OneSource and Longview).Integral in boosting R&D credit 300% from 2017 to 2018 by managing key aspects of the credit project, serving as the core liaison and facilitating the selection of a consulting firm specializing in R&D. Instrumental in the decision and contract negotiation process for a 200K tax provision software (Longview) supporting growth; reviewed application, helped gain leadership consensus, and engaged with global Share Services management for project sign-off.As the primary liaison between the Tax department and IT, played a key role in tax software selection, implementation, and upgrades, supporting multiple ERPs during acquisition growth (up to 32 entities), and representing the tax department on ERP migrations, i.e. ROSS to IFS to Microsoft Dynamics AX. Partnered with IT to direct an NA email (LotusNotes) retention project in 2015; implemented an archiving system and championed a new data storage process (2,400 users).
