My objective has been to apply my interdisciplinary engineering background to make connections for business development as well as performance on high-tech applied research programs. These programs range from data collection and signal processing to algorithm and hardware development in the acoustic and electromagnetic domains. I have acted as a team lead for various DARPA and other proprietary advanced research programs to help ensure we meet demanding requirements for programs with many moving pieces. I also regularly interact with and report progress to our government customers.I am using my business education to: • Develop business plans and strategies for various groups throughout our organization • Develop interest groups to execute our strategy. One example is the brain and cognitive sciences group, whose purpose will be to take scientists' understanding of neural function and design to augment control of complex systems, enhance performance, alleviate disabilities, and inform the creation of artificial intelligence • Implement company-wide collaboration tools to improve employee interaction, knowledge retention, and productivity improvement • Champion BBN both within and outside the organization by serving on our Quality of Life Task Force employee retention program and on campus recruiting • Act as a leader and mentor on our internal business development competitionSpecific technical experience is always evolving, but includes: • Planning, logistics, execution, and program management of various (acoustic, infrasonic, ultrasonic, seismic, electromagnetic/radio frequency) sensor system programs and proof of concept testing • Writing MATLAB prototypes for signal processing, data visualization, and data management • Designing mechanical systems for repeatable simulation and testing of various platform motion profilesCleared TS/SCI with polygraph

Worked with BBN's Emerging Radio Frequency Technologies group on various instrumented collections campaigns developing platforms to simulate motion profiles, design inertial compensation components for position, navigation, and timing (PNT) programs. Managed a team of over 20 academic subcontractors and BBNers in the development and implementation of distributed transmit beamforming algorithms. Was involved with various program management tasks as well as regular presentation of work to government customers.

Organized and performed many field tests and acoustic collection campaigns which required significant hardware preparation and logistical coordination. Performed data collection and analysis using custom MATLAB signal processing scripts. Worked on algorithms teams to detect unique signals of interest for various customers. Served on the volunteer Quality of Life Task Force (employee engagement) and was active in on-campus recruitment.

Undergrad Honors Thesis topic: An Acoustic Model of Underwater Sound Propagation Through a Ship WakeUnderwater acoustic modeling and analysis work: Organized new underwater acoustics lab, worked on various projects with an interdisciplinary team dealing with underwater sound propagation modeling and improving existing code. Other jobs included testing and calibrating equipment, organizing and working on various projects dealing with underwater sound propagation.Skills learned: Research, MATLAB; digital signal processing; acoustic modeling; technical writing & presentation.

Information Systems & Global Services – Intelligence: GEOINT Information Management ServicesPerformed as a test case lead for requirement verification. Wrote test documents and performed these steps for the customer in order to sign off on requirements for a $2B contract. Led two test cases, one of which was the first of 40 to pass an Engineering Review Board to sell off requirements. Coordinated with full-time employees and trained them on lessons learned and best practices through the process.Skills learned: Technical writing, presentation, communication, and planning; Information Systems; MS Excel/Word.
