Feb 2024 to Present, Service Manager: Responsible for US and International service, support and training needs.July 2020 to Feb 2024, In Vivo Imaging Specialist: Preclinical Optical Imaging System Sales, Applications & Service Support, Systems & Software Training.

Assist with non-profit summer concert series events.

Installation, service, repair of optical in vivo imaging modalities for preclinical research; immediate and ongoing support including training, consultation and troubleshooting for the customer user base in both industry and academic settings.

Engaged with this an academic imaging Core Facility since its inception, developing all protocols for pre-clinical imaging (specifically, optical, X-ray, ultrasound, and intra-vital), regulatory and safety compliance, and general use for a multi-user research facility. Responsible for instrument oversight, repair, user training on pre-clinical imaging systems and basic histology, website organization, content, and graphic design for the Core and it's umbrella Institute.

Concurrent with CTAC, Senior Biological Scientist, University of Florida Dept. of Surgery, joined a human colitis lab – Responsibilities included human primary colitic/cancerous tissue handling and processing into cell lines for culture, histochemical analysis and xenograft transplantation into immune-compromised mice.Culture of non-transduced and lentiviral-transduced human stem cells. Design, perform experiments for fluorescent and bioluminescent in vitro and in vivo imaging. Coordination/amendment of IACUC protocols, and IT support.

Sr. Bio. Scientist, Manager of the University of Florida Shands Cancer Center Transgenic (Tg) Core Facility: I executed all daily organization, management, and performed all aspects of Core experiments including pronuclear microinjection, blastocyst injection, aggregation, rederivation, ESC culture, DNA isolation and prep, and associated ancillary Tg techniques. I offered individual training on microsurgical/anesthetic/breeding techniques. I coded and developed the core’s website design and handled maintenance. During this time, I became (and remain) the first non-faculty, primary author of active IACUC-approved Animal Care and Use Protocol. I was responsible for authorship on all IACUC/ ACS/ EH&S Protocols and SOPs. I was assigned as IT Information Services Manager (ISM) for Transgenic Core and Dr. E. Scott Lab computing resources from 2006 to 2007, and as part of a two-man team implemented new security standards for the Scott Lab and Tg Core IT resources. It was during this time I became more involved in the IT dimensions of Core facilities, and the security measures needed for multi-user computer stations. I successfully generated over 350 genetically modified murine progeny.

Generation, breeding and maintenance of transgenic mouse lines; initiation and maintenance of individual studies involving transgenic mice; abilities include aggregation, pronuclear/ blastocyst injection and associated setup and follow-up techniques, cell culture, various microsurgery techniques, vector isolation/ purification, standard genotyping protocols.
