Mike is a director, technical solutions and business development with Crest Data. Additionally, Mike is a long-time Faculty member with IANS Research and owner of First Security Alliance, LLC. Previously, Mike was the head of global strategic alliances at VMRay, as well as the director, technical alliances at Cofense (formerly PhishMe). Mike's earlier work was head of cybersecurity and technical operations in financial services, and former Research Director at Security Current. Additionally, Mike has been a mentor with RevTech Labs in Charlotte, NC, and was involved with several cybersecurity startups. With over 20 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity, Mike has worked in a variety of disciplines and leadership roles. Mike has held industry leadership positions in information security, eCommerce, technical operations and technology services. Through the years Mike has provided several hundred cybersecurity advisory engagements for clients as well as authoring professional publications, and conducting speaking engagements at dozens of security conferences. Mike is CISSP, CISM, CRISC certified and holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance (MSIA) from Walsh College.
