Responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives across a provider network of Acute and Non-Acute Care facilities with a focus on the capital medical equipment market space. Acting as the lead liaison to healthcare equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors. Responsibilities include developing pricing structures, creating cost savings for clients, and defined revenue opportunities for the company. Directly manage contract negotiations and supplier relationships. Collaborate in the development of client communication and marketing collateral materials. Work with internal teams to coordinate sales and other promotional strategies.

Responsibilities included the management of the $85M Medical Equipment and $13M FFE project budgets for the new 1.25M square foot Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Coordinated all medical equipment procurement activities across 52 bid categories covering all operational departments. Liaison to clinical and non-clinical end users, medical equipment consultants, architects, construction manager and project leadership for all bid categories, RFP/RFI development and vendor analysis, selection, negotiation, award and installation coordination processes. Successful procurement activities led to a $15M medical equipment and $2M FFE project savings to budget and on time delivery and installation of all items.

Provided leadership over Medical/Surgical and Pharmacy Purchasing, Contracts, Central Supply, Receiving, and Mailroom/Copy Center departments supporting the total supply chain to the medical center, out patient clinics, and research center. During my tenure we successfully implemented the GHX EDI and GHX Catalyst online order requisitioning applications leading to the increased EDI utilization of 90% from 30% as well as standardizing the requisitioning process ensuring order approval limits and processes are maintained.Successfully implemented Point of Use cabinets throughout the inpatient and procedural departments establishing monthly meetings and performance reports replicating and maximizing efficiencies and savings across the clinical supply chain. A top 10 performer as benchmarked across other Pyxis users.

Project Manager for organization wide ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) vendor selection process to replace outdated DOS based Materials Management and separate stand-alone Financial Management system. Responsible for the full implementation of the Lawson Materials and Finance Management applications. Facilitated all tasks associated with the Project Management role including scheduling and facilitating biweekly project team meetings, Executive Steering Committee meetings as needed, compile Executive Summary documents, create project Roles and Responsibilities document, and develop various analysis and budget tracking tools.Created and maintained all Technical and Systems procedures as well as provided application/technical support post go-live.
