I created Maplewoodshop in 2016 to help all children develop life skills through woodworking. We now achieve this mission by providing a safe, portable and easy-to-implement woodworking program to camps and schools nationwide. If you know of a school or camp that should be using woodworking to engage every child and help them discover the intelligence in their hands.....but is overwhelmed with how to do so, please put them in touch with us. With over 100 programs running nationwide and growing, we can help them help their youth find their self worth and even start on a path to a well paying career, including careers in the trades.

I have always enjoyed tinkering and working with my hands. 12 years ago, as a new homeowner, I began working on my house and discovered that I enjoyed working with wood. Over the years, I have made doors, tables, picture frames, wine racks, and sculptures from highly figured woods.In 2016, I founded Maplewoodshop because I noticed that many people want to get out of a digital space and remaster the physical world.
