Mike is currently the Director of Campus Recreation for the Health, Fitness, & Recreation Center for CENTERS LLC @ Moraine Valley Community College. The building opened March of 2014 and the department consists of 11 professionals and over 100 part time student employees and support staff.

Since 2007, Mike has been leading the overall operation of the Department of Campus Recreation, serving a student population of over 6,000. He provides leadership and oversight of the Beckerman Recreation Center, member services, fitness and wellness programming, intramural sports, club sports, summer camp, student development and assessment, business operations, fiscal planning, risk management and marketing. He directly supervise the professional portfolios for 3 full time staff, 2 graduate assistants, and over 80 part time employees. He schedules and directly manages all operations of the 56,500 square foot David A. Beckerman Recreation Center (opened December 2007) consisting of 3 activity courts, 2 group fitness studios, an indoor track, 2 racquetball courts, and over 6,000 square feet of fitness space. In addition, he is responsible for forecasting and managing a department budget of approximately $1 million annually. As an emerging leader within the University of New Haven, Mike provides leadership and support to the University of New Haven through various roles and committee work. Examples include; The Retention Task Force, The Student Affairs Assessment Team, The Student Affairs Strategic Planning Committee, and the University Events Policies and Procedures Committee. Mike is very active within NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports Association) and has presented nationally and regionally at conferences. Selected presentations have included "Risk Management; are you covered?", "How New Rec Facilities are Enhancing Student Life on Campus", "Facility Start-up; From Ground Breaking to Grand Opening", and "The Good, The Bad, and The Truth".
