In a nutshell, my experience consists of:17 years working in the areas of Security, Computer Networking, and Python scripting. 4 years of working with Golang and building microservices.During that time I have also worked in web development, building an python django rest api with an accompanying web ui written in angularjs. This was used to track and manage many thousands of Splunk instances. Instances could check into the rest api and retrieve configuration information, and users could login the web interface to see the overall picture of the Splunk environment. I built golang microservices that were able to deliver trillions of events per week. Data would flow in via Kafka pass through my microservice deployment and be sent to a downstream kafka where the data would be ingested into Splunk as json. The microservice converted protobuf events into json events using some we called dynamic ontology.
