Bluescape made a realtime web-based collaborative whiteboarding tool built around WebGL and Three.js.I did a mix of WebGL, Three.js, and some vanilla front-end web-dev.

I managed to convince Google to put me on a (doomed) machine learning project. I learned a lot about the practical aspects of machine learning and classification in the context of textual data, and worked with fascinatingly intelligent people.
