(Approx. 80 people.)Identified an intractable legacy codebase as the core productivity issue in POS development and created the “Mobile Futures” team with a long-term charter to make the code base delightful. This team established the future architecture and spearheaded the implementation. This was Square’s first successful effort to radically improve mobile code quality.Effective and respected cross-functional mentor, change agent and leader across Square’s decentralized engineering teams. Examples:– Created, funded and staffed a Mobile Developer Tools team– Catalyzed a “Core Reviewers” code review process to increase throughput given the rapid increase in contributors– Turned around a demoralized team.
