About Mike Seltzer

Mike Seltzer is an Air Force F-35 pilot and the former Director of the Autonomy Portfolio at the Defense Innovation Unit. Additionally, as a program manager, he leads DoD partners through problem curation, source selection, execution, and ultimately fielding of commercial solutions to hard military problems. Mike is also an operational leader and business consultant with 17+ years of operational and managerial experience in high-performing organizations. He specializes in the development of habitually excellent teams and the associated lean structure and process required in order to scale.Previously, as a Private Equity Operations Associate, Mike focused on portfolio company growth, operations and integrations, as well as investment evaluation, financial projections, and strategic planning.Mike is an Air Force Colonel and fighter pilot with 20 years of leadership experience in strategy, logistics, aviation, and personnel development.
