After relocating to Australia in 2016, I sorely needed a career change after 20 years of journalism.I cubbed as a court reported for an English language daily newspaper before graduating to the crime beat and eventually politics and finance. I made it to the editor's chair and sat in it for eight years. Fast forward to 2016 and I realised that I needed to do something different. I chose a diploma in Digital Marketing and SEO, where I could marry up my data analytics skills with my copywriting.Making the adjustment to writing for a completely different platform that I was used to took a little bit of time, but it all worked out. My favourite projects are small niche businesses where the owners need real hands-on help to rank on Google and get to the coveted first page and top spot.
