As EVP, Retail Lending Director, Sheahan is responsible for the growth of retail residential lending throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island. Chelsea Groton’s residential lending group originates and services the bank’s loans to consumers, which includes residential mortgages and home equity loan products. He is also responsible for all loan servicing functions for Retail and Commercial Lending.Prior to joining the executive team at Chelsea Groton, Sheahan was SVP at Simsbury Bank leading their mortgage and consumer lending departments. Prior to that he was SVP at Webster Bank leading their mortgage lending division; general manager of Harland Financial Services’ e-commerce division; chief financial officer at Centerbank Mortgage Company; senior vice president at Fleet Bank; and audit manager at Ernst & Young.Mike graduated from University of Connecticut in 1982 with his Finance degree. He earned his CPA in 1986. He is a graduate of the Mortgage Bankers Association School of Mortgage Banking and an Accredited Mortgage Professional.
