In the United States Marine Corps, I served my country proudly as a Communications Technician and Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor. Teaching existing and new hand-to-hand and close quarters combat (CQC) techniques with morale and team-building functions and instruction, I trained Marines in unarmed combat, edged weapons, weapons of opportunity, and rifle and bayonet techniques. In addition, I stressed mental and character development, including the responsible use of force, leadership, and teamwork. In the USMC, I managed a budget of $10M and was responsible for the combat readiness of hundreds of Marines each day. The United States Marine Corps is a branch of the United States Armed Forces responsible for providing power projections using the mobility of the United States Navy to deliver combined-arms ask forces on land, at sea, and in air.
