Michael Sid is an acknowledged thought leader in the area of helping Entertainment companies to transition to Digital with particular expertise in the melding of traditional branded entertainment content and its rights with new distribution methods.Michael is currently the founder and CEO of Mediamorph, an NYC-based start-up whose platform helps Film Studios and Television networks to manage, account for and optimize revenue from Digital Distribution. Mediamorph’s product is in daily use at major Hollywood Studios such as Warner Bros and Sony Pictures, giving them the insight that they want and the control that they need in order to foster the growth of digital channels.Prior to founding Mediamorph, Michael worked with a number of consulting firms including BearingPoint and Cognizant to help them guide clients as diverse as the Metropolitan Opera, The Daily Beast, Rodale, Comcast, Sony Pictures, Warner Music, EMI, MTV and Time Warner Cable to their digital media futures. Prior to that, he was the Global Architect for Digital Content for Sony Music worldwide, managing a team that built the infrastructure for Digital Music Distribution. Michael also helped conceive, build and operate the US music industry’s digital music royalty system – SoundExchange.Michael holds an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and has appeared on numerous industry panels.
