With a specialization in contract surety, Mike assisted bonding agents with securing new contractor clients and servicing their existing bonding business. One of Mike's primary responsibilities was to protect Capitol's assets by selecting contractors that were solid risks and adjusting their bonding programs as their individual situations changed. Mike handled the surety's Southwest territory and assisted in managing the underwriting team.

Mike started his career in the bonding industry with Western Surety Company (WSC), a CNA company. During his five years with the organization, Mike was promoted to Lead Underwriter of the Midwest Team. WSC specializes in commercial surety bonds and also handles contract surety business.
