Our robust and innovative business plan attracted the interest of a high ranking employee within Segway, who ended up becoming our lead investor. While our initial services was wrapped around the Segway, our longer term plans were to have a fleet of different types of "green" modes of transport, i.e. electric scooters, bikes, One-Wheel, etc. The initial phase of the company was set up to leverage the novelty of the Segway, which we did by offering rides at festivals, corporate events and parties. We also offered our services to car dealers and other business who wanted to attract customers and bring them in the door. The information collected from our liability release was then passed on to the client. Things were going very well for the first year, that was until Segway decided not to support the rental market for various reasons. This was short lived, but long enough to put those of us who were first to market out of business. We did not have the time or capital to transition fast enough. Show less
