D8000 Development Field Screen Team Lead
CurrentI lead an internationally dispersed team of engineers in achieving project milestones and deadlines, while serving as mentor across various disciplines. Part of my role includes providing advice, including offering technical guidance to multiple executive teams, and addressing my team’s management and policy concerns. As the initial escalation contact, I prioritize and resolve escalated issues presented by our external customers, resulting in higher satisfaction. In the interim, I represent the defect approval and referral process in the field, while implementing policy decisions that impact the defect process. Standardized defect creation and processing, leading to faster analysis and resolution times, while rolling out process improvements, optimizing defect analysis. Increased product quality improvements at the code and architectural level by participating in design meetings, documentation/code reviews, and providing feedback on existing/upcoming architecture. Influenced decision-making as a member of the Core Products Security team. Triaged field issues and executed statistical analysis, isolating and monitoring current problem trends. Analyzed team member’s workload, including percentage of planned time spent directly on product defects and additional development work (internal tools, etc.) daily. Developed internal documentation tools, methods, and formats, maximizing procedures, processes, and best practices.
