As a seasoned Vendor Management Leader specifically within contingent workforce management, I was responsible for leading an operations team that managed a global vendor portfolio for three ONEx organizations, overseeing vendor selection, contracts, performance, and risk management across international teams. I collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders tasked with delivering business results in engineering, marketing, and strategy and planning to ensure vendor performance meets or exceeds service level agreements (SLAs), negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

Advised, enabled, and facilitated business leader decisions and priorities related to vendor and contingent workforce management.

Managed and oversaw development of strategies and objectives to maximize productivity and leverage expenses for outbound operations within the complex start-up distribution center environment, while ensuring it was an ideal place to work and grow for those that I had the privilege of leading.

As a corporate fellow selected by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes initiative, I developed and piloted process improvement initiatives for customer-facing field technicians. This included creating a Standard Operating Procedure to reduce national product re-order rates and utilizing Microsoft technology to capture metrics and increase management decision-making capabilities. I prioritized projects and maintained lifecycles through efficient use of agile management tools and collaborated with cross-functional teams to preserve the shared vision set forth by leadership.

I oversaw quality operations across 5 functional divisions, executed internal audits as the lead internal auditor, and investigated regulatory compliance issues as the Assistant Chief of Investigations. I significantly improved efficiency and completed projects within scope and ahead of schedule, while eliminating internal errors through agile project management processes. I earned a Global Quality Management System certification through a proven ability to identify system non-conformities and developing corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. I produced 100% compliance in 500+ marine safety cases and recommended federal regulatory changes to prevent reoccurrence by investigating causal factors and system failures as a subject matter expert. Also being tasked with multiple personnel investigations, my experience and training as an Investigator were instrumental in my ability to deliver clear, concise recommendations to senior leadership.

I managed operations and successful delivery of over $35M in repair and compliance projects, including a $16M major repair project for a nationally critical vessel. I facilitated 11 additional projects and ensured on-time completion within scope.I effectively enforced compliance with US laws/regulations and international treaties, resulting in reduced injury, death, property loss, and environmental harm. I directed audit teams to identify system non-conformities and delivered reports with recommendations for critical path identification.

College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative (CSPI) Scholarship Program - I was selected based on demonstrated academic and leadership excellence as an enlisted member serving on the Aids to Navigation team at ANT Fort Macon in Atlantic Beach, NC. I completed the program as a full-time student at North Carolina A&T where I gained a love for business and process excellence that would serve as the foundation of my professional career. Following graduation, I was commissioned as an officer (O1E) in the Marine Safety field.
