I joined HRS in 1987 as a service engineer working out in the field maintaining the equipment that I was once manufacturing. Soon I was promoted to the service managers role where we built up our team of technicians to one that now functions as its own entity and own P&L and team. I was then requested to work on a couple of sales projects looking at the service and maintenance aspects of the proposals and with my colleagues assisting in securing some large power projects and Indian oil projects and from there I went on to do front end sales from 1991 to 1997. In 1997 the company completed a restructure and I became the sales manager for heat exchanger sales in all areas except HVAC which had its own dedicated team and we secured some very good business in a ever changing market place. In 2000 I then Joined APV in the UK in a very similar role, before transferring to Australia. After the purchase of APV by SPX in 2008 I then joined GEA Process Engineering. My role there was as the Business Development Manager covering all major Industry markets, This role was the most challenging and most rewarding for me at that time as I was involved in the business evolving in Australia to one that is now striding forward and securing on going business. Sadly now though the GEA Group has sold its heat exchanger group and as with other previous companies they will now move in to a long period of change with a new owner and most likely go backwards in certain areas, this began to happen soon after the official announcement back in 2013. So in 2014 I moved to a company called Fluid Dynamics who are small but extremely efficient heat exchanger company.
